After sitting out nine straight games and 25 of the last 27 in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season due to a high left ankle sprain, Franz Wagner has been upgraded to questionable for the Orlando Magic ahead of their upcoming games against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Kia Center.
The 24-year-old German small forward suited up for the Magic for both games against the Memphis Grizzlies in his hometown of Berlin and in London, but resurfaced on the injury report upon the team’s return to North America. With a pair of home fixtures against the Bucks on Monday and Wednesday before the All-Star break, he is expected to play at least once. In his fifth year with Orlando, Wagner has made 26 appearances, averaging 22.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.3 blocks per contest.
On the opposite side of an ongoing bid to clinch a playoff berth, the Bucks formally confirmed that Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo will be out for a seventh straight game due to a right calf strain.

Meanwhile, Slovenia’s Luka Doncic is set to miss a second straight game with a left hamstring strain as the Los Angeles Lakers host the Oklahoma City Thunder at Crypto.com Arena.
On a more positive note for European stars, the Denver Nuggets have listed Serbian Nikola Jokic as probable with a left ankle sprain for their matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Ball Arena.
