Despite a quiet scoring night from Victor Wembanyama, the San Antonio Spurs extended their dominant winning streak in the 2025-26 NBA Regular Season to 11 games with a 126–110 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

Wemby was held to 12 points for the second consecutive game, shooting 3-of-9 from the field in 26 minutes of action. However, the French superstar filled the stat sheet elsewhere, contributing eight rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks to the winning effort.

Addressing his rising status after the game, Wembanyama remained poised regarding his future as a global icon. “I think this is something that will get answered on its own,” he talked about possibly being the next face of the NBA. “It’s not something that you can really force or manufacture in a way that people respond to, so I have no worries about that.”

The Le Chesnay native also went into being linked to the season MVP award. “I know I’m in the MVP conversations,” he admitted. “Of course, it’s one of my goals. I think that the main argument for that is the team’s success. That’s always the first thing. I’m also conscious that I need to press the gas a little bit on the last games of the season to win that award.”

On the other side of the floor, the team coached by Spanish Jordi Fernandez struggled to keep pace despite contributions from their international core. Starters French Nolan Traore and Russian Egor Demin scored 13 and six points, respectively, while Israeli Danny Wolf added 14 points off the bench. Meanwhile, fellow Israeli prospect Ben Saraf remained in the G League with the Long Island Nets.
