Brooklyn Nets rookie guard Egor Demin will miss the remainder of the 2025–26 NBA season due to increased plantar fasciitis in his left foot, the team announced.

The injury brings an early end to what had been a promising debut campaign for the eighth overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

The Nets expect Demin to resume basketball activities early in the offseason and be a full participant in the team’s summer development program.

The 19-year-old guard and former Real Madrid player appeared in 52 games (45 starts) this season, averaging 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 25.2 minutes per game.

He ranked second among NBA rookies with 124 three-pointers, while shooting 38.5% from beyond the arc, the highest percentage by a qualified rookie in franchise history.
