Following an acrimonious medical dispute and a subsequent NBA investigation, the Milwaukee Bucks are actively listening to blockbuster trade offers for 31-year-old Giannis Antetokounmpo

The NBA has concluded its investigation into the Milwaukee Bucks regarding the late-season shutdown of Giannis Antetokounmpo and determined that no further action is warranted.

The league probe originally centered on a severe medical dispute, with the Bucks holding out the two-time MVP due to a left knee hyperextension and a bone bruise, claiming he was unfit to play, while the 31-year-old point forward publicly insisted he was healthy and rejected his forced isolation.

According to ESPN senior NBA insider Shams Charania, who revealed the league’s decision not to penalize the franchise, the ruling implies that the NBA sided with the team’s version of events, or at least found insufficient evidence to disprove it.

However, this fracture followed a frustrating 2025-26 campaign where Giannis was limited to a career-low 36 games due to a cascade of knee, groin, ankle, and calf injuries. Despite his limited availability, his production remained elite, as he averaged 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game.

With the relationship heavily severed, the Bucks are prepared to consider trade offers for the Greek superstar. Co-owner Jimmy Haslam recently announced that a final resolution will be reached before draft night, as the team demands immediate clarity rather than risking a total loss before his 2027 player option.

Milwaukee’s asking price is reportedly non-negotiable. They want the acquiring team to provide a young, blue-chip talent paired with a massive haul of future first-round draft picks. Numerous potential suitors include the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, and New York Knicks.
