French phenom Victor Wembanyama expectedly headlined the Kia NBA All-Defensive Team selections as the only unanimous First Team choice, after previously being named Defensive Player of the Year for the 2025-26 Regular Season.

Spearheading a strong showcase for European talent, the San Antonio Spurs center swept all 100 media ballots to accumulate a maximum 200 points, as announced on Friday. Joining Wemby on the positionless First Team was fellow countryman Rudy Gobert, with the Minnesota Timberwolves center securing his ninth career All-Defensive nod, amassing 151 points from the global voting panel. The remaining slots were filled by Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder, alongside Detroit Pistons forward Ausar Thompson and Boston Celtics guard Derrick White.

On the Second Team, the British forward of the New York Knicks, OG Anunoby, earned his second career nod with 67 points. He was joined by Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes, Thunder guard Cason Wallace, Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels, and Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo.

Beyond the French bigs and the British wing on the elite rosters, Belgian forward Toumani Camara of the Portland Trail Blazers finished 14th overall in the voting hierarchy. He collected 28 total points, powered by four first-team and 20 second-team votes after setting a league record for offensive charges drawn.

Further down the ballot, Portuguese center Neemias Queta of the Celtics garnered recognition for his rim protection analytics. He logged eight total points, capturing one first-team and six second-team media votes.

The league also recognized community impact alongside on-court excellence, with Adebayo combining his sixth consecutive All-Defensive distinction with the NBA’s Social Justice Champion.
