The saga of Donatas Motiejunas free agency is finally coming into an end. As the Houston Chronicle reports, the Rockets are waiting to receive the offer sheet of the Nets to the Lithuanian big man.
With no numbers of the table yet, the Rockets are not excluding the possibility to finally match the offer and keep their restricted free agent.
“We’re big fans of Donatas,” Morey said. “We hope to have him at some point this year. It’s our understanding he will probably sign something in the next day. We won’t know until it’s official. We don’t know how much it will be.”
Motiejunas had met with the Brooklyn Nets this week and had been examined by their team physicians as the Nets prepare an offer sheet. Houston will have three days to match the offer.
