The ongoing saga between Lithuanian big man Donatas Motiejunas and Houston Rockets continues. After the former matched Brooklyn Nets’ offer sheet for the player, the latter did not show up for his physicals on Tuesday morning, as reported by The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Rockets could possibly return Motiejunas to a restricted free agent status, while they are currently weighting the options. If that happens, he will not be able to sign with the Nets for one year.
On that note, the player’s agent, B.J. Armstrong stated the following, as mentioned by Jonathan Feigen: “We have our rights. We’re not going to show up. We’ll see what happens. We’ll see what the Rockets do.”
