Still Croatian rookie Ivica Zubac had 25 points and 11 rebounds for the Lakers, while Italian Danilo Gallinari and Seb Nikola Jokic each added 18 points for the Nuggets, who have a two-game lead over Portland for the No. 8 playoff seed in the Western Conference with 15 games to play. Spaniard Juancho Hernangomez added 13 points for the winners.

The biggest change in the West, however, was that San Antonio tied Golden State for the NBA’s best record with a 107-99 overtime win over the Hawks. Spaniard Pau Gasol had a double double for the winners (14 p. 10 r.), Tony Parker didn’t play and Latvian Davis Bertans had 8 points. Hawks German point guard Dennis Schroder had 22 points and 10 assists, Swiss Thabo Sefolosha added 9 points, Turk Ersan Ilyasova had 8 points and 5 rebounds, while Spaniard Jose Calderon added one assist and 2 steals.

In the East, Milwaukee kept for the moment the last spot of the playoffs despite the vintage performance of Vince Carter. The veteran guard made all eight of his shots, including six from beyond the arc, to score a season-high 24 points and lead the Grizzlies past the Milwaukee Bucks 113-93. Spaniard Marc Gasol had 13 points, 13 rebouns and 6 assists, while for the losing side Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 18 points and Bosnian Mirza Teletovic added 3.

Minessota had an amazing game by Ricky Rubio (22 p., 19 as.) and Nemanja Bjelica (16 p. 10 r) and got the 119-104 win over the Wizards (Gortat 7 p., Mahinmi 5 p., BNogdanovic 12 p., Satoransky 2 p.).
