Jokic recorded his fifth triple-double of the season and the Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Clippers 129-114 to win their fourth straight. Jokic finished with 17 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists to help lead Denver to a win in a matchup of short-handed teams.
Italian Danilo Gallinari missed the game and Spaniard Juancho Hernangomez was used as a starter and finished the game with 9 points and 5 rebounds.
At Atlanta, Marc Gasol had 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and the resurgent Grizzlies beat the Hawks 103-91.
Gasol reached his third career triple-double with his pass to set up JaMychal Green’s 3-pointer with 3:10 remaining. Three triple-doubles look like a big number when it’s only the 11th in franchise history.
“It’s only three, buddy, not 23,” Gasol said when asked on the matter. German Dennis Schroder scored 10 points for Atlanta, Turk Ersan Ilyasova scored 6 points, Swiss Thabo Sefolosha added 2 points and Spaniard Jose Calderon had 4 assists and 4 rebounds.
