Rugy Gobert didn’t manage to stay on the floor much last night during the Utah Jazz victory over the LA Clippers and he attributed this to someone… prohibiting him from playing.

The Jazz succeeded in beating the Clippers 104 – 91 in Game 7 of the Western Conference quarterfinalst, thus advancing to the next round, without much need of Rudy Gobert’s elite defense.

But the 13 minutes he spent on the floor in last night’s match didn’t come as a result of a coaching decision or something injury related.

“I tried to play basketball tonight, but maybe I just wasn’t allowed”, said the French center, implying that the referees were perhaps too strict with him.

Gobert picked up his second foul 3 minutes into the game and Quin Snyder substituted him immediately. He was called with his 3rd foul early in the second quarter shortly after he had re-entered the court.

He was ultimately fouled out, finishing with four rebounds.
