NBA Euro-watch: Wins for Fournier-Vucevic and Sabonis-Bogdanovic

“Fourny” and “Vouch” helped the Magic beat the Nets while Bogdanovic and Sabonis had superb performances in Minnesota.

In a 6-game Tuesday night, Euro-ballers shined once again providing quality performances for their teams.

In Orlando, the dynamic duo of Fournier and Vucevic helped the magic beat the Nets by a final score of 125-120.

Aaron Gordon had a career night in scoring with 41 points and “Fourny” proved to be a fantastic sidekick with 28 points on 9-of-15 shooting. Nikola Vucevic added 12 points and 9 boards in a win.

Timofey Mozgov had 9 points and 5 boards in just 17 minutes for the losing side.

The Celtics took care of business (110-89) against the New York Knicks with German Daniel Theis getting significant minutes. He had 11 points and 5 boards. Frenchman Yabusele also saw the floor scoring 4 points in 2 minutes.

For the Knicks, Enes Kanter was a force on the glass from the start. He finished the game with 16 points and 19 rebounds while his teammate Kristaps Porzingis couldn’t really get it going (12 points on 3-of-14 shooting)

Willy Hernangomez returned to action after a DNP-CD with 12 points in 11 minutes.

The Chicago Bulls put up a fight in Cleveland but fell short in the end, losing by a final score of 119-112. Lauri Markkanen was sensational with 19 points and 8 boards with five 3’s.

He also broke the record for three-pointers made by a rookie in the first three games of the season with 10, while earning praise from LeBron James

Paul Zipser played 34 minutes and scored 11 points while adding 7 rebounds.

The Indian Pacers took advantage of Jimmy Butler’s absence and got an easy win (130-107) in Minnesota.

Domantas Sabonis, was perfect from the field going 7-0f-7 and had a double-double 15 points and 11 rebounds. Bojan Bogdanovic was “on the money” as he scored 19 points on 9-for-12 shooting adding 5 rebounds and 1 assist.

For the Wolves, Nemanja Bjelica continued his impressive performances with 18 points going 4-of-8 from downtown.

The L.A. Clippers got some “mini-revenge” for last year’s playoff elimination as they beat the Jazz 102-84. Danilo Gallinari chipped in with 14 points and 6 boards.

For the Jazz, Rudy Gobert had a sub-par night for his standards with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks, while Ricky Rubio had 10 points 5 boards and 5 assists.

Thabo Shefolosha had a double-double (11p., 12r.) in 26 minutes.
