Lauri Markkanen scored 24 points and drove for the go-ahead layup in the closing seconds to lead the Bulls to a 114-112 victory over Oklahoma City and their first win under coach Jim Boylen.
The Finnish forward was the key in Chicago’s win after the coaching change and the dismissal of Fred Hoiberg. For the losing side, German guard Dennis Schroder scored 19.
The Warriors wrapped up a five-game trip with a 105-95 victory for their third straight win, this time over the Bucks. Greek star Giannis Antetokounmpo had 22 points and 15 rebounds, but they were not enough.
The Heat opened a six-game trip by handing the Suns their eighth straight loss, 115-98. Slovenian Goran Dragic, back after missing eight games with a sore right knee, had 11 points and 10 assists.
The Pacers routed the Magic 112-90 behind 26 points from Croatian Bojan Bogdanovic, despite missing Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis due to a food poisoning.
Last but not least, 36-year-old French icon Tony Parker proved again he can still make some pretty slick plays, scoring 19 points to help the Charlotte Hornets snap the Denver Nuggets‘ seven-game win streak with a 113-107 victory.
