An epic European battle took place at the Staples Center during NBA’s two-game Thursday night.

Luka Doncic poured a NBA career-high 32 points, but Danilo Gallinari also scored 32 points leading the Los Angeles Clippers to the 125-121 win over the Dallas Mavericks. The home team gained control and got on track to snap their four-game losing streak with a 15-2 spurt down the stretch.

Polish big-man Marcin Gortat and his Serb counterpart Boban Marjanovic contributed to the victory with four points each, Serb Milos Teodosic was available but didn’t get any action. German Maxi Kleber (toe) notched four points for the losing side, Dirk Nowitzki also played but failed to get on the board.

The Miami Heat beat the Houston Rockets, 101-99, in other game of the night. Goran Dragic (right knee) remained out, but Dwayne Wade’s heroics down the stretch were enough for the “W”. Clint Capela had six points and 14 rebounds for the Texans, Chris Paul picked up a left hamstring injury during the second quarter.
