It has been three days since the trade between the New York Knicks and the Dallas Mavericks which sent Kristaps Porzingis to Dallas. The Knicks president Steve Mills explained that the reason for this trade was Porzingis’ dissatisfaction and unwillingness to continue with the team as the player himself informed them during a short meeting.
However, Porzingis hinted that there is more to the story and he has done it once again with a message on his Instagram account sharing a piece of advice for the Knicks fans, telling them to stay awake:
“The city deserves better than that… My suggestion for Knicks fans is to STAY WOKE!! Peace“, Porzingis wrote in his Instagram story.
Although not all the details are known, it’s a fact that there has been a strong disconnect between Porzingis and Knicks management which culminated recently.
