Toronto Raptors forward/center Serge Ibaka was suspended for three games without pay following his physical altercation with Cleveland Cavaliers forward Marquese Chriss, the NBA announced.

Chriss received a one-game suspension for the same incident.

Ibaka received a three-game suspension because of his “instigation of the physical altercation, throwing a punch at Chriss and his prior history of fighting during NBA games,” per the announcement. The Spanish player was deemed responsible for the whole incident.

Ibaka will start serving his suspension Thursday (14/3) when the Raptors face the L.A. Lakers. He will also miss the games vs. Detroit Pistons and the New York Knicks.
