Nets, Suns get preseason wins over Lakers, Blazers

The Suns rained 3-pointers against the Blazers.

The Brooklyn Nets beat the Los Angeles Lakers 91 – 77 in a preseason game that took place in Shenzen, China. Brooklyn swept the Lakers in preseason since they had also won 114 – 11 Thursday (10/10).

Caris Levert led the Nets with a game-high 22 points plus a team-high five assists while Taurean Prince added 12 points. Kyrie Irving played just two minutes before taking a stray shoulder hit on his face while trying to guard Rajon Rondo.

For the Lakers, that saw Anthony Davis suffering a thumb injury after 12 minutes of play, Avery Bradley scored 14 points and Kentavius Caldwell-Pope 12.

Kostas Antetokounmpo had nine points (3/7 from the field, including 1/3 triples) and was a team-high +10 in 11 minutes in his preseason debut with the Lakers. Nets forward Rodions Kurucs finished with three points and four boards in 21 minutes.

In Portland, the Phoenix Suns drained 24 3-pointers, two more than their official franchise record, en route to defeating the Blazers 134 – 118.

Dario Saric scored 3/3 from beyond the arc himself while finishing with 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in 23 minutes. Kelly Oubre JR. was the Suns‘ leading scorer with 18 points. Ricky Rubio was out for resting reasons.

CJ McCollum dropped 27 points for the Blazers. Mario Hezonja posted six points, six rebounds and five assists in 20 minutes off the bench.
