Luka Doncic did what only LeBron James has done in the past of the NBA history.

Doncic scored a career-high 42 points to go with 12 assists and 11 rebounds as the Mavericks prevailed over the San Antonio Spurs 117-110.

Doncic is the second-youngest player in NBA history to have a 40-point triple-double, after James. They are the only two players to record 40-point triple-doubles before turning 21.

“It feels like every day there are stats you don’t know about, stats that you read about,” Doncic said. “It’s great to hit.”

Doncic has an NBA-leading six triple-doubles in 13 games this season.

“This guy can do anything he wants to on a basketball court,” Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said. “He’s having one of those magical runs right now. It’s a phenomenal thing to watch. It’s a phenomenal thing to be a part of.”

Kristaps Porzingis added a doule-double (18 p. 10 r.) for Dallas and German Maxi Kleber had eight points. Austrian Jacob Poeltl just missed the double-d0uble (9 p. 10 r.) for the Spurs.

Lithuanian forward Domantas Sabonis got also a double-double (16 p. 18 r.) and the Pacers got the easy 115-86 win over the Nets.

However, the most impressive double-double of the day belongs to Swiss center Clint Capela with 22 points and 20 rebounds in the 132-108 win of the Rockets over the Blazers.

The Knicks beat the Cavaliers 123-105 (Ntilikina 6 p. 6 as.), the Raptors destroyed the Hornets 132-96 (Gasol 5 p. 8 r. 8 as.), Boston prevailed over Phoenix 99-88 (Theis 11 r. – Saric 9 p. 10 r.) who missed Spanish star Ricky Rubio due to back spams and the Clippers edged the Oklahoma City Thunder 99-88 (Zubac 12 p. 10 r. – Galinari 14 p., Schroder 12 p.)
