After winning on the road in Zalgirio Arena and getting a 2-1 advantage in the series, Rytas Vilnius had the opportunity to get things done, conquering the Lithuanian Championship for two straight years.

However, Andrea Trinchieri’s team got inspired in the fourth quarter, producing a 30-15 run to force Game 5 at home, back in Kaunas.

Ultimately, in front of a rocking red-and-black crowd, Zalgiris emerged victorious, winning 84-83 in Game 4 with the decisive three-pointer by Sylvain Francisco.

There were two prominent protagonists for the green-and-white side: the French guard, who finished with 29 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists, and Ignas Brazdeikis, who added 26 points.

RJ Cole was by far the best one for Rytas Vilnius, getting 22 points and 5 assists in the loss. Arturas Gudaitis had a vintage 14-point night, shooting 6/7 from two.

Zalgiris Kaunas needs to bounce back after last year’s defeat, while Rytas Vilnius could conquer the highest prize of Lithuanian basketball in back-to-back fashion for the first time since the 2008-10 span.
