The Turkish Basketball Federation announced through a statement Thursday that a decision about the future of the season will be decided soon, but not yet as originally planned for April 30, without ruling out the possibility of resuming action in order to conclude the 2019-20 season.
The statement reads:
“We continue to observe the developments related to the coronavirus pandemic, the effects of which still continue in our country and in the world.
As Turkish Basketball Federation, we said we were following developments until April 30 and we would take a decision about our leagues but the current situation requires a little more time.
We will announce our decision in the coming days after the latest updates from the Scientific Board, relevant ministries and clubs regarding this situation, where all our scenarios including the continuation of our leagues are ready and our health board report has been completed”.
