A game-winning three-pointer connected by Rodrigue Beaubois with two seconds remaining in the fourth quarter lifted Anadolu Efes to the win, 86-84, against Darussafaka Lassa in Volkswagen Arena Wednesday.

Serbian import Vasilije Micic logged a team-high 22 points alongside a game-high eight assists in Game 2 of Turkey’s Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Quarterfinals best-of-three series.

American-born naturalized Turkish combo guard Shane Larkin followed with 18 points behind five three-pointers. Experienced French guard Beaubois had 15 points with 6/9 from the field, including the series-clinching shot.

The team coached by Ergin Ataman missing Chris Singleton, Tibor Pleiss, Amath M’Baye, and Bryant Dunston completed the two-game sweep, overcoming the hosts being in control most of the way in Game 2 with their lead peaking at ten points, early in the third quarter.

Team captain Dogus Ozdemiroglu missing a couple of free throws created the opportunity for Efes, masterfully converted by Beaubois. British center Gabriel Olaseni posting a 24-point, 12-rebound double-double was forced to the losing end.

With Fenerbahce Beko up 1-0, the team coached by Dimitris Itoudis has a clinching opportunity against Tofas in Tofas Arena later tonight (19:30 CET). Game 3, if necessary, will take place in Istanbul’s Ulker Sports and Event Hall.

Already through to the next round of the Playoffs, fourth-seeded Pinar Karsiyaka swept Frutti Extra Bursaspor. Rather on to Game 3, top-seeded Turk Telekom will play host to eighth-seeded Galatasaray Nef in Ankara Arena to decide another Semifinals berth tomorrow, Thursday.
