The Turkish Cup quarterfinals featured an Istanbul rivalry matchup between Besiktas and Anadolu Efes.

After erasing a 14-point deficit, Dusan Alimpijevic’s Besiktas side defeated the EuroLeague team 85-80 and advanced to the semifinals.

Besiktas will face Mersin in the next round after they took down Tofas 101-95 in the first quarterfinal duel.

Kyle Allman had an impressive performance for Alimpijevic’s team, scoring 26 points, while Emanuel Terry recorded a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Dustin Sleva followed with 10 points.

Elijah Bryant delivered a 25-point performance, falling just two assists short of a double-double, while Jordan Nwora added 21 points and seven boards. However, their efforts weren’t enough for Luca Banchi’s side, as only Ercan Osmani contributed double digits with 12 points.

In the other semifinal matchup, Fenerbahce will face Galatasaray, with both games set to be played on February 14.
