Ercan Osmani scored 21 points, pushing Anadolu Efes to a win, 93-73, against Bursaspor in Tofas Arena on Sunday.
The team coached by Igor Kokoskov never trailed in Bursa, but a seemingly safe cushion was reduced to two points in the third quarter before restoring a commanding lead en route to 2-0 in the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Regular Season. Efes joined Trabzonspor, Besiktas Gain, and Bahcesehir Koleji at the top of the standings.
Osmani ended up with 10/13 from the field, including 10/11 two-pointers. Cole Swider and Brice Dessert chipped in 13 points each. P.J. Dozier, Shane Larkin, and Vincent Poirier were on the injury list, with Kai Jones and Rolands Smits also sitting out. For the hosts, Artur Konontsuk had 19 points.
Opening Round 2 on Friday, 29-year-old James Palmer Jr. poured in 27 points and Will Cummings netted three game-winning free throws for Galatasaray MCT Technic in a 93-91 victory versus Tofas.
The schedule closes on Monday, with defending champion Fenerbahce Beko taking on Aliaga Petkim Spor.
