Fenerbahce Tarfin narrowly escaped with an 85–84 victory versus Biotekno Korfez, after almost dropping a double-digit lead for a second time at the Ulker Sports Arena on Sunday. They improved to 1–1 in the 2026–27 edition of the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi Regular Season.
They held on because of Talen Horton-Tucker and Johnny Juzang. The duo stepped up with Wade Baldwin IV, Marcus Bingham Jr., Braxton Key, and Shavon Shields all resting out of the lineup. The 25-year-old combo guard, a former NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, led the way with 22 points, and 25-year-old Juzang added 21. Both players hit season-high marks to rescue the hosts from what could have been an embarrassing 0–2 domestic start.
A day earlier, Errick McCollum took care of business for Esenler Erokspor. The veteran guard poured in 26 points on Saturday, carrying his team past Aliaga Petkim Spor in a comfortable 96–87 victory.
