Besiktas is making a run for the playoffs in the Turkish BSL and Bobby Brown is loaded and ready. With him scoring 24 points and Randy Culpepper adding 22, his new team got the 95-91 win over Usak.
“We started making shots, we started making stops and we fared well in a game which we knew it meant a lot for us”, said Bobby Brown to Eurohoops after the game. “A long week of practices helped me a lot to have a good chemistry with my teammates. I just tried to carry it over to this game and be consistent. The Turkish league is a tough league and I want to do everything to help the team make it to the playoffs”.
Giordan Watson had 22 points for the losing side and Khem Birtch had an impressive double double (18 p., 12 r.) in a key game for both teams. Usak with a 12-12 record is currently the eight team in the league standings, while Besiktas just behind them at 11-13.
It was a close game with Watson cutting the lead of Besiktas to 92-91 with just 6 seconds left, but Chinemelu Elonu with a goal foul – assisted by Culpepper – and 17 points in total sealed the win of Besiktas.
