With Krunoslav Simon scoring all of his 20 points in the game’s last 18 minutes and dishing out five assists, Anadolu Efes beat Gaziantep 94 – 87 and improved its Turkish League record to 21-8.

Brock Motum added a team-high 25 points plus five rebounds for Efes that was trailing 47  – 53 at halftime, mostly because of an outstanding Sean Armand who had 22 out of his 25 points at the break for Gaziantep.

The second half, however, was a different story. Coach Ergin Ataman’s players greatly improved their defense, shutting down Armand and keeping their opponents at 16 points in the third quarter to gain a 73 – 69 lead.

Gaziantep never managed to catch up. This loss brings them closer to the edge of relegation since they are second-to-last in the standings with a 9 – 20 record.

Bryant Dunston added 13 points and eight rebounds for Efes while Patrick Miller had 20 points and five assists for Gaziantep.
