Fenerbahce made 10/10 free throws in the final 1:37 minutes of the game against Besiktas to get an 84 – 80 win and improve its Turkish BSL League record to 6-1.

This was fifth league loss for Besiktas that came very close to delivering the upset on the road. Coach Dusko Ivanovic’s players entered the final period up 52 – 58 and were 74 – 75 down the stretch before Fener took the lead.

Kostas Sloukas and Bobby Dixon hit free throws to put their team ahead 80 – 75. A couple of mistakes gave Besiktas the chance to make it a one-possession game when Jordan Theodore and James McAdoo scored for the 80 – 79.

Fener players remained perfect from the line to keep their team up in the score. Sloukas sealed his team’s win with 2/2 for the four-point lead with seven seconds remaining to finish the game with 17 points plus seven assists.

Ahmet Duverioglu added 17 points for Fener. McAdoo scored a game-high 24 points for Besiktas while Theodore added 18 points.
