Top athletes and clubs have responded the call and now it’s YOUR turn to do so!

Tens of thousands dead, hundreds of thousands injured and homeless, orphaned children, cities lost in ruins. In such a great disaster it was impossible for sport to remain unaffected.

Αthletes or even entire teams have tragically died, been injured or are missing, while many clubs are moving to other cities or are withdrawing from official competitions. Turkey is experiencing a disaster.

Through EUROhope‘s initiative, your generosity can ease the pain.

The Turkish edition of Eurohoops.net has taken it upon itself to mobilize and unite top European basketball players by collecting autographed jerseys, balls and trophies. EUROhope, the Corporate Social Responsibility program of the Eurohoops Organization, which embraces a series of social awareness actions, will hold a series of auctions which will include those basketball items, offering the proceeds that will be collected for the relief and support for those affected.

The response of athletes and sports organizations to the call of Eurohoops was overwhelming. We hope that the proceeds collected from the auctions will provide some relied to the drama that the Turkish people are experiencing. More than thirty rare collectible items will be auctioned through EUROhope. The objects come from athletes of different nationalities, from Turkey, Greece, the United States, Spain, Serbia and many more, which is the best proof that basketball can unite the world, giving an assist to life.

An autographed jersey of the Bucks with a special message and the signature of Giannis Antetokounmpo, signed balls by the players of Fenerbahcke BEOK and Anadolu Efes, a ball in the colours of the National Team of Greece signed by EuroLeague legends, Theodoris Papaloukas and Dimitris Diamantidis, an autographed jersey of Olympiacos by EuroLeague icon Giorgos Printezis from his final season on the courts, as well as Dimitris Papanikolaou’s original EuroLeague trophy from the 2007 Panathinaikos EuroLeague triumph, are some of the first items to be auctioned.

In the following days  more items will be auctioned donated by Nick Calathes, Kostas Antetokounmpo, Kostas Sloukas, Kostas Papanikolaou, Will Clyburn, Shane Larkin, Mike James, Elie Okobo, Vasilije Micic, Luke Sikma, Milos Teodosic, Iffe Lundberg, Walter Tavares, Mario Hezonja, Sergio Llull, John Holland, Gabriel Deck, Wade Baldwin, Maodo Lo, Marco Bellinelli, Kyle Hines, Luigi Datome, Nicolo Melli and other EuroLeague stars as well as Alex Perez, Pako Cruz, Dylan Ennis, Onuralp Bitim, Jordon Crawford, Errick McCollum, Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Jerian Grant, Axel Bouteille, Berke Büyüktuncel among others.

You will also be able to bid for signed jerseys of other BSL players such as  Ercan Osmani, Mehmet Yağmur and Berk Uğurlu. A Türk Telekom jersey signed by coach Erdem Can and the jersey worn by Ender Arslan during his Galatasaray period were also donated for the benefit of the earthquake victims.

EUROhope’s initiative is implemented through the Charity Idols platform in a series of auctions. Each auction will last seven days. The auction proceeds will go to the Ahbap NGO, a cooperative movement to provide all kinds of help to those in need, regardless of gender, language, religion, race or political opinion, and to strengthen solidarity among all sections of society.
