Isaiah Thomas talked to Eurohoops about his next career steps, shared his opinion on the future of Giannis Antetokounmpo, recalled ‘dark days’, and how he idolizes Panathinaikos Aktor star Kendrick Nunn.

His story is built on dreams, doubt, and determination. What he calls “Slow Grind”, his motto. He was the last player selected in the 2011 NBA draft, but remained confident and in the 2016-17 season, shining as the Boston Celtics leader, he was so decisive in clutch situations to earn a “King of the Fourth” label for his consistency in crunch time of big games!

The veteran guard visited Athens, participating in the Trenchwork Sports Camp at OAKA, and went from seeking an NBA comeback to the possibility of displaying his talents in Europe.

The former player of the Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets, Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans, Dallas Mavericks, and Charlotte Hornets also discussed the future of Giannis, urging him to consider a bigger NBA market and presented a clear preferred destination.

The 36-year-old guard buries the hatchet with Boston for the way they handled his injury and trading him shortly after the death of his sister, explains how he overcame difficult competitive and personal moments, and praises Nunn for his EuroLeague career.
