Following last year’s early elimination in the BKT EuroCup, losing to Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana in the Eight-Finals, Besiktas came back this summer by strengthening the squad.
Adding new assets like Devon Dotson, Vitto Brown, Brynton Lemar, and Ante Zizic, among others, the team coached by Dusan Alimpijevic is ready for the 2025-26 season.
Interviewed by Eurohoops, the Serbian head coach spoke about his affection for the black-and-white fanbase in Istanbul, hoping to deliver both domestically and internationally.
“I think we are one of the favorites of the EuroCup. Compared to the last two years, we have a more talented roster,” Besiktas’ head coach stated ahead of the season.
“We are a team with high scoring potential, but we need to build chemistry. Unless we put everyone at the service of the team, this talent won’t mean much,” he said.
“Big clubs have a fan base and a good infrastructure. This season, no matter where we played, we filled the arena. This is very important for every serious club. The love and support of our fans is wonderful,” Alimpijevic also added.
