The double-round week ended on a high note for the “Red Shoes”.

The end of the week was thrilling, to say the least. And AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milano got the biggest win of the week. As you can see in our game center,  most of the games were decided on details and only the trio of CSKA Moscow, Fenerbahce, and Real Madrid remain perfect in the standings.

And of course, our MVP wore “Red Shoes”

MVP

Nemanja Nedovic

Nedovic helped Olimpia Milano execute Olympiacos in the third quarter and finished the game with 20 points, after scoring just two in the first half, while he also picked up 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals for an index rating of 26. His overall presence in the second half played a key role to this important road victory for the Italians, their second of the season!

BEST FIVE

  1. Kostas Sloukas: With his 20-point performance he changed the course of the game in Kaunas and handed Fenerbahce the victory.
  2. Scottie Wilbekin: He recorded a career-night in Podgorica and set new personal scoring (28 points) and PIR (30) records.
  3. Sergio Llull: Being his usual self, he executed fellow Spanish competitors Baskonia with 23 points and 4/7 from the three-point line.
  4. Nemanja Nedovic: The man behind Olimpia’s massive victory in Piraeus.
  5. Ante Tomic: His dominance in the paint was accompanied by an 18-point performance against Bayern’s solid frontline.

Coach of the week: Ergin Ataman

Winning in against Khimki in Moscow is never an easy job, though Dogus Balbay and Anadolu Efes celebrated a victory at the buzzer. Ergin Ataman’s game plan in the final minutes of the game was meant to be decisive, earning his team a win of morale. And so far, Efes seems better than any the recent versions of the team in the past few years.

Last word: Road games

Anadolu Efes stole the victory in Moscow, Fenerbahce turned things around in the final period in Kaunas. Scottie Wilbekin pushed Maccabi in Podgorica and Olimpia Milano seized Piraeus. Point is, no team’s home court is safe this season and that was evident which half the games of this round being home defeats.
