Eurohoops presents the complete review of the playoffs in the best European leagues (Spanish, Turkish, German, VTB, Italian and French) this weekend highlighting the Top scorer, the top win, the worst loss, the biggest fall and a tip during the last two days.

Top Scorer

David Logan (Sassari, Italy)

27 points (10/13 free throws, 4/6 2p., 3/5 3p.) in Sassari’s victory vs Trento 84-80

The biggest win

Huge vixtory for Alba

It’s only the first win of the three they need, but Alba got a big win against Bayern (the fourth in a total of five games this year) with 81-55.

The worst defeat

Strasbourg is in danger

During the regular season Strasbourg looked like they differed considerably from the rest of the teams in the league. However, they were defeated by Chalon/Saone (79-71) and the qualification to the semifinals will be decided in a third game.

The biggest failure

Thriller like last year
Fenerbahce were defeated by Galatasaray in overtime 70-69 in a game in which they were very poor. The qualification to the semifinals will be decided in a third game with Andrew Goudelock missing the big chance. At the end of the game he hesitated and finally put up a shot under bad conditions.

The tip

Sassari won the crucial games

The pleasant surprise of the Italian championship. Trento finished fourth and got the home advantage against Sassari. They actually won both games of the regular season and the first game of the playoffs. Sassari however, won the next three games of the playoffs and qualified to the semifinals…

+Bonus

The Spanish playoffs

In the last game of the Spanish championship there were no unforeseen developments (aside from Real’s defeat to Manresa) and so everyone is now getting ready for the playoffs.
