VTB United League has approved 2019/20 schedule. The regular season will kick off on September 20, 2020, and will end on April 25, 2021.

13 participating teams will play a round-robin format.

The VTB United League 2019/20 schedule will be available on League’s site.

The League’s top eight teams will advance to playoffs which will decide the champion. All series will be best of five, with 2-2-1 format, home-court advantage for the higher-ranked.

League general director Ilona Korstin:

VTB League is considered to be one of the strongest in Europe for a reason. Almost all our clubs will play in European cups. Plus, we have foreign teams that play in domestic leagues.
The VTB League is focused on a balanced schedule so that every participating team can show their best performance. Moreover, we have to comply with FIBA regulations: the schedule reserves spots for national teams in November and February, right after the All-Star Game which is scheduled for February 14. The League respects the interests of the fans, sponsors and TV: every round features the Game of the week that attracts the basketball community’s attention. We will start on September 20 with Khimki vs Zenit. This rivalry has become VTB League classics, we all remember the fight in the playoffs, and I am sure the teams will have something to show at the beginning of 2020/21 season!
