The 2019 VTB United League Playoffs kicked off with UNICS Kazan defeating Kalev/Cramo Tallinn, 92-82. The Russian side took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five quarterfinals series.
Errick McCollum sank four triples for a total of 29 points including 17 in the first half. Melvin Ejim followed with 20 points and Raymar Morgan added an 15-point, 12-rebound double-double.
Dimitris Priftis’ team faced a challenge on Friday with the visitors sticking around for the majority of the forty minutes. However, Tony Wroten’s team-high 19 points weren’t enough for the upset.
