Khimki Moscow drained 19 3-pointers against Kalev.

Khimki Moscow crushed Kalev Tallinn 118 – 81 thanks to a brilliant offensive performance, especially from the 3-point line (19/36). The winning squad improved to 11-0 to remain the only undefeated team in VTB League.

Alexey Shved dropped 21 points (3/6 triples) and dished out seven assists, Dairis Bertans scored 15 on 5/8 triples and Jeremy Evans 13. 11 out of the 12 players that Khimki coach Rimas Kurtinaitis used drained at least one 3-pointer.

Kalev couldn’t keep up with its opponents’ firepower. Kyle Vinales (13 points), Aigars Skele (12 points) and Kristjan Kitsing (11 points) finished in double figures from the Estonian team that is now 5-6 and sixth in the standings.

Second-placed CSKA Moscow (8-3) stayed in pursuit of Khimki by defeating Astana in a high-scoring shootout while Lokomotiv Kuban downed Parma (3-8) in coach Evgeny Pashutin’s debut. Loko is tied with Unics Kazan (week off) at 6-4 and the fourth spot. Enisey, that also didn’t play any games this weekend, is third at 5-3.
