Okaro White has been listed as questionable by Panathinaikos OPAP for Wednesday’s meeting with Anadolu Efes.

White, 29, going through his debut season in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague logged 8.6 points and 4.6 rebounds per contest over the first five rounds of the Regular Season. His participation in Round 6 is uncertain due to a calf issue.

Captain Ioannis Papapetrou was already considered doubtful to play in Round 6 by the Greens. He picked up a left hip injury in the Stoiximan Basket League away win versus Peristeri Vitabiotics on Sunday.

“On Wednesday morning we will know if they will be able to play,” said head coach Dimitris Priftis regarding the two players.

Following the defending EuroLeague champions, Panathinaikos will stay at home to complete the second double-game week of the 2021-22 season hosting LDLC ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne on Friday. The quick turnaround may affect the decisions on the players available to play against the Turkish side.

On to the team coached by Ergin Ataman, tied at 1-4 with its next opponent, FC Bayern Munich, and UNICS Kazan, Vasilije Micic and Krunoslav Simon can return to action but James Anderson and Dogus Balbay are expected to remain sidelined alongside Bryant Dunston, the latest addition to the injury list.

Efes is a very capable and talented team. I don’t know how many absences they will have, but I believe that all the players are of a high standard,” pointed out Priftis, “I think we should focus more on ourselves and not on how Efes will appear.”
