For the first-ever EuroLeague Play-In, there must be also a first-ever EuroLeague Play-In MVP. After his season-high night of 35 PIR against Baskonia on Tuesday, Lorenzo Brown collected this award, silencing critics over his recent lack of valuable performances.

The Spanish national team’s playmaker had the best scoring game of his 2023-24 season so far, posting up 29 points over a career-high 7 three-pointers that went in. He also had 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1 steal for the third MVP award of his five-year EuroLeague career.

After this victory, Maccabi Tel Aviv officially clinched 7th position in the EuroLeague standings, facing 2nd-seeded Panathinaikos in the upcoming best-of-five Playoff series. Baskonia, after losing to the Israeli yellow-and-blue team, eventually beat Virtus Bologna to face Real Madrid in the Playoffs.
