The 84-70 win by Baskonia over ASVEL, which could tell nothing extraordinary the vast majority of times, will always be remembered in EuroLeague history because Codi Miller-McIntyre wrote another witnessing chapter within the competition.

Dragging his team to the win, the American-Bulgarian point guard recorded the 4th-ever triple-double in EuroLeague history, with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and a historic competition-high of 2o assists for a 42 PIR, being obviously named EuroLeague MVP of the Round for the second time in his career after Round 8.

He shared his thoughts after such a feat. “It means a lot. I heard a lot of rumors, a lot of people accusing me of not being a point guard. I hope that people can see now that this is my natural position”, he commented on people saying he wasn’t a playmaker. “I am excited we got the win. I just want to thank the coach and my teammates for believing in me and I am excited to keep going”, he also added.

In his first-ever EuroLeague season at 29 years of age, the former Partizan Belgrade player has been averaging 8.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game. Before coming to Baskonia, he exclusively revealed to Eurohoops that we thought about retiring after experiencing last year’s earthquake in Turkey.
