Euroleague Basketball has officially suspended two meetings in Round 30 of the 2025-26 EuroLeague Regular Season originally scheduled for this Thursday. The affected matchups involve the Israeli derby between Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv and Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv, as well as the clash between Partizan Mozzart Bet and Dubai.
These decisions were confirmed on Monday.
Per the press release: “Euroleague Basketball would like to inform that the following EuroLeague Regular Season Round 30 games have been suspended:
Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv – Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv, scheduled to be played on Thursday, March 5.
Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade – Dubai Basketball, scheduled to be played on Thursday, March 5.
The games have been suspended due to the current situation in the region and the resulting inability to travel following the temporary closure of the airspace. Euroleague Basketball will evaluate with the affected teams the best possible options to reschedule the games, while closely monitoring the latest developments and maintaining constant communication with local and international authorities, and all relevant organizations to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone involved. Further information will be released in the coming days.”
The logistical challenges remain significant, with several Partizan players currently stranded in Dubai due to flight disruptions, while the meeting of the Israeli outfits was already heading toward postponement. These suspensions follow a similar decision made this past Saturday to postpone the Round 21 fixture between Hapoel and Paris Basketball due to the same regional security concerns and travel restrictions.
