Serb Nemanja Bjelica added 3 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists for the winners, while German icon Dirk Nowitzki had his best game so far in the season for Dallas with 26 points, including five 3-pointers.
Anthony Davis had 40 points and 18 rebounds before leaving with a left hip injury in the New Orleans Pelicans‘ 110-96 victory over the Knicks, who started the game without Derrick Rose and lost Carmelo Anthony to an ejection.
Rose was absent for reasons that remained unclear. Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek said it was too soon to discuss the issue until the team had heard from its point guard. Latvian sensation Kristaps Porzingis was just 3 for 13 for 9 points, Lithuanian Mindaugas Kuzminskas missed the game after feeling sick Monday and French big man Joakim Noah had 4 points and 10 rebounds. Spaniard Willy Hernangomez added 6 points and Slovenian Sasha Vujacic had 8. For the winners Lithuanian Donatas Motiejunas had 3 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
The Oklahoma City Thunder pull away from the Chicago Bulls for an easy 109-94 victory. Russell Westbrook had 21 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds, falling just short of his 18th triple-double of the season. Turk big man Enes Kanter had a double double (20 p. 11 r.), Lithuanian Domantas Sabonis added 5 points and 5 rebounds, Spaniard Alex Abrines scored 7 points and French Joffrey Lauvergne had 6. For the hosts German Paul Zipser had 3 points and Spaniard Nicola Mirotic 3.
