The NBA is probing Danuel House Jr. for potentially sneaking a female coronavirus testing official into his room, according to multiple reports. Houston Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni confirmed the investigation.

“As far as I know, he’s out,” he mentioned prior to Game 4 of the series opposite to the Los Angeles Lakers, “I don’t know, the investigation is ongoing. When they come out with their ruling, we’ll just go from there.”

The Texas A&M alum missed both Game 3 and Game 4 with the Rockets citing personal reasons. His status for the remainder of the Western Conference semifinals series is unclear.

It’s claimed that House welcomed the woman in his room Monday night but not under the capacity of a coronavirus tester. However, no further proof exists.

The investigation extends into whether it was an isolated incident or if players are generally finding ways to go around health protocols set to protect the integrity of the bubble set up in Orlando.

The Rockets are down 3-1 in the best-of-seven series following the Game 4 loss on Thursday. Game 5 is scheduled for Saturday.
