Brilliant performance delivered by Spanish big Santi Aldama as the Memphis Grizzlies overtake the Sacramento Kings in the race for the second seed in the Western Conference table.

Aldama, 22, posted a 22-point, 14-rebound double-double behind respective personal bests in the NBA. Coming off the bench and lasting 28 minutes, he added two assists helping in the comeback win, 112-108, against the Dallas Mavericks in FedExForum Monday. The youngster, the 30th pick in the 2021 draft, made 6/12 field goals, including 2/6 from beyond the arc.

The Mavs, missing Slovenian star Luka Doncic for a fifth straight Regular Season game, blew a 16-point advantage. German Maxi Kleber tallied two points, eight rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal as a starter. French Frank Ntilikina drew eight points, two rebounds, and one assist. Latvian Davis Bertans logged three points, two assists, and one rebound.

In his sixth double-double in a row, Montenegrin Nikola Vucevic paired 21 points with 12 rebounds alongside four steals and two assists for the Chicago Bulls in the double-overtime win, 109-105, over the Philadelphia 76ers in Wells Fargo Center. Joel Embiid with 37 points and 16 rebounds was not enough for the Sixers.

French Rudy Gobert dropped 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal as the Minnesota Timberwolves overcame Julius Randle’s career-high 57 points to defeat the New York Knicks, 140-134, in Madison Square Garden. On the losing end, German Isaiah Hartenstein had five points, eight rebounds, and three assists.
