Domantas Sabonis scored 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Sacramento Kings defeated the Orlando Magic 109 – 107. This was the 53rd straight double-double for the Lithuanian big man who tied the record held by Kevin Love in 2010-11.
Sabonis, who also had eight assists, needs one more double-double in his next game to have the most consecutive ones since the NBA-ABA merger of 1976.
Franz Wagner finished with 18 points for the Magic who suffered their first loss after five wins in a row.
Deni Avdija led the Washington Wizards past the Toronto Raptors 112 – 109 by posting 22 points, 13 rebounds plus five assists. It was the second straight win for the Wizards and 10th loss in a row for the heavily shorthanded Raptors that were without their three leading scorers.
Tristan Vukcevic made his NBA debut playing three minutes and registering a rebound with the Wizards.
