Despite being relatively new in Los Angeles, Luka Doncic has extended his efforts to give back to the community by donating 5,000 US dollars via his foundation and covering the entire goal of a GoFundMe page created by artist Louie Palsino to restore a vandalised mural depicting Kobe and Gigi Bryant in downtown Los Angeles.
“It was always important to give back to the community that gave me so much. I just want to give back,” he mentioned during a media session following the team practice on Tuesday.
The Slovenian superstar and the Los Angeles Lakers are trailing the Minnesota Timberwolves, 3-1, in a best-of-seven series of the Western Conference Quarterfinals of the 2025 NBA Playoffs presented by Google.
“We look at that third quarter. We were doing great. Just follow that,” Doncic referred to a solid stretch for the team coached by JJ Redick in Game 4.
Following a losing effort in Target Center on the latest edition of NBA Sundays, the Lakers host Game 5 in crypto.com Arena on Wednesday.
“We definitely need to treat it like a Game 7. We lose, we go home, no matter what,” stressed Doncic, “We got to focus on this game and then move on.”
“Confidence is a big part of it. Like I said, we have to treat it like Game 7 and stay together,” added the 26-year-old combo guard.
So far in the opening round of the postseason, the Ljubljana native has averaged 30.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.8 blocks per contest.
