Victor Wembanyama returned to the court after injury and is still coming off the bench for the San Antonio Spurs, but that hasn’t stopped him from being the best player on the floor.
The Frenchman led his team to a 126–98 road win over the Atlanta Hawks, posting incredible numbers in just 22 minutes of action.
Wembanyama recorded 26 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists on 10-of-15 shooting from the field, finishing with a plus-minus of +29. Also, he joined an exclusive club Friday night, recording his 100th consecutive regular-season game with at least one block
In his appearances since returning from injury and coming off the bench, he has played 60 total minutes, scored 63 points, and posted a combined plus-minus of +64.
Last night, the Chicago Bulls also emerged victorious on the road, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 136–125, with European players leading the way.
Nikola Vučević recorded a strong double-double with 24 points and 15 rebounds on 11-of-20 shooting, while Matas Buzelis followed with 24 points and five rebounds.
Elsewhere, the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated Western Conference leaders and defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder 112–107, with Rudy Gobert narrowly missing a double-double with nine points and 14 rebounds.
Ajay Mitchell scored 14 points for the visitors, while Isaiah Hartenstein had just one point but grabbed 10 rebounds.
