The NBA has announced its two best players of the week. Luka Doncic (Los Angeles Lakers) and Bam Adebayo (Miami Heat) have received the league’s weekly award.
Luka Doncic continues to establish himself as the star of the Lakers with averages of 37.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 11 assists per game for a 3-0 record in the week.
The Slovenian player scored 51 points against the Bulls in a defeat in which he was close to a triple-double (10 rebounds and nine assists). He also scored a game-winner against the Nuggets in one of the most exciting finales of the entire season.
Meanwhile, Bam Adebayo made history by becoming the second-highest scorer in NBA history in a single game, with the 83 points he scored against the Wizards on the night of March 10. Surpassing Kobe Bryant (81), the Miami Heat center delivered one of the best performances of all time.
His averages in the last week are 41.3 points, 8 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game in a 2-1 record.
Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), DeMar DeRozan (Sacramento Kings), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Kawhi Leonard (Los Angeles Clippers), Austin Reaves (Los Angeles Lakers) and Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs) were also nominated for the award in the Western Conference.
Paolo Banchero and Desmond Bane (Orlando Magic), Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks), Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren (Detroit Pistons), Brandon Ingram (Toronto Raptors) and Jalen Johnson (Atlanta Hawks) were nominated in the East.
