Dutch Malevy Leons scored eight points and Turkish Omer Yurtseven added two, though Dutch Quinten Post (right foot injury management) was unavailable. The Capital One Arena hosts featured French starter Bilal Coulibaly with 21 points and Serbian Tristan Vukcevic with 11, while French Alex Sarr (right hamstring injury management) was ruled out.
Complementing Josh Giddey’s fourth triple-double in five games, Lithuanian Matas Buzelis connected 12/22 from the field, including five triples, en route to a game-high 29 points at United Center to fuel a 132-107 Chicago Bulls win against the Memphis Grizzlies. Nickeil Alexander-Walker erupted for a career-high 41 points to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 124-112 victory over the Orlando Magic at State Farm Arena, supported by a Jalen Johnson triple-double and two points from France’s Zaccharie Risacher. The visitors saw German starter Tristan da Silva and German reserve Moritz Wagner each score seven points, while Georgia’s Goga Bitadze and France’s Noah Penda added four and two points, respectively, as German Franz Wagner (left high ankle sprain injury management) remained sidelined.
In another high-scoring effort, Jaylen Brown’s 41 points propelled the Boston Celtics past the Phoenix Suns 120-112 at TD Garden, with Portuguese starter Neemias Queta contributing five points and Bosnian reserve Luka Garza adding three. Spanish Hugo Gonzalez went scoreless, while British Amari Williams and Ukrainian Max Shulga remained out of the rotation, and Montenegro’s Nikola Vucevic (right ring finger fracture) stayed on the injury report.
Finally, at Smoothie King Center, Croatian reserve Karlo Matkovic recorded a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double in a 129-111 New Orleans Pelicans victory over the Dallas Mavericks, who received three points from Greek John Poulakidas.
