Six games were played in the NBA last night, with European players once again at the center of attention.
Nikola Jokic led the Denver Nuggets to a valuable 121–115 victory, despite falling short of both a triple-double and a double-double.
The Serbian center still had an excellent outing, posting 22 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds while shooting 9-of-14 from the field and committing just two turnovers. Jamal Murray led all scorers with 31 points, while Tim Hardaway Jr. added 23.
On the other side, Austrian center Jakob Poeltl stood out for Darko Rajakovic’s team, recording a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Sandro Mamukelashvili added four points.
Deni Avdija also impressed, leading the Portland Trail Blazers to a 108–104 road win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Israeli forward finished with 25 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, while Toumani Camara contributed six points and three rebounds for the winners. Rudy Gobert had a strong showing in defeat, posting a double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds.
Elsewhere, Luka Garza shined in the Boston Celtics’ 117–112 road win over the Memphis Grizzlies, tallying 22 points and seven rebounds, while Neemias Queta followed with a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Alperen Sengun came close to a triple-double as the Houston Rockets defeated the Atlanta Hawks 117–95, finishing with 15 points, 10 assists, and nine rebounds. Zaccharie Risacher led the Hawks with 16 points and six rebounds in the loss.
