Axel Julien hit a free throw with less than two seconds remaining to hand JDA Dijon a 80-79 win over Paris Basketball in Game 2 of the French League quarterfinals.

TJ Shorts had missed the opportunity to put Paris up in the score from the free throw line in the last seconds. Gregor Hrovat grabbed the rebound and gave the ball to Julien who ran the floor and drew the foul from the American point guard. He also made the basket but it didn’t count.

Julien finished with 14 points and 11 assists for Dijon that tied the series 1-1. Maodo Lo led Paris with 21 points and five rebounds.

Earlier, Chalon/Saone downed ASVEL Villeurbanne 76 – 69 behind 17 points and five assists by Jeremiah Hill. The series is now 1-1.
