An intense battle went down in Istanbul but Efes managed to prevail over Karsiyaka in the end

Pinar Karsiyaka put up a fight against reigning continental champions Anadolu Efes though Ergin Ataman’s squad managed to outlast the pressure and escaped with a 78-77 victory to remain undefeated in the Turkish BSL.

Vasilije Micic and Tibor Pleiss helped Efes reach the victory with 18 and 17 points respectively, while Rodrigue Beaubois and Bryant Dunston shared 11 and 10 points respectively.

Michael Roll’s strong 23-point performance wasn’t enough the save the day for Karsiyaka in the end. Bonzie Colson produced 14 points, 6 rebounds and Amath M’Baye added 15 for the visiting side which falls to a 2-1 record.

Earlier this weekend, Jan Vesely‘s game-winner lifted Fenerbahce to win over Bahcesehir.
