The protagonist of Panathinaikos‘ recent return to European success, Sani Becirovic, had left the Greek club in his role of sports director.
However, he won’t be taking time off, as he has become the sports director of another club, outside of the EuroLeague.
The Slovenian former player joined Zenit Saint Petersburg in the VTB League, as the two sides have agreed on a three-year deal until 2028.

Earlier today, Zenit Saint Petersburg also announced that they will be playing in the VTB Supercup, alongside CSKA Moscow, Crvena Zvezda, and BC Dubai.
The event, featuring two EuroLeague teams, will be held in the Belgrade Arena on September 24-25.
